About the Journal

JIECIs: Journal of Islamic Economics and Contemporary Issues is an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access academic journal dedicated to advancing critical scholarship and empirical research in the fields of Islamic economics, finance, and social development.

JIECIs aims to bridge classical Islamic economic thought (turāth al-iqtiṣād al-Islāmī) with contemporary global economic challenges, providing a forum for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore the intersection between faith-based ethics, economic innovation, and social justice.

As a multidisciplinary platform, JIECIs encourages dialogue between Islamic economics, conventional economics, business studies, management, sociology, law, and digital finance, in order to develop a holistic understanding of sustainable economic systems rooted in maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah and human wellbeing (falāḥ).
