About the Journal

ALIF: Journal of Arabic Language and Learning in Focus is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Arabic Language Education Study Program (Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab), Faculty of Tarbiyah, ISIMU Pacitan, Indonesia.
The journal serves as a scholarly platform dedicated to the study and development of Arabic language teaching, learning, linguistics, and applied educational practices in both national and international contexts.
The name ALIF (ألف)—the first letter of the Arabic alphabet—symbolizes the beginning of knowledge and the foundation of literacy in Islamic intellectual tradition. Inspired by this symbolism, ALIF seeks to illuminate the field of Arabic education through high-quality research, innovative pedagogy, and deep linguistic understanding grounded in Islamic and contemporary educational values.
ALIF is published biannually, in June and December, and welcomes original research articles, literature reviews, and conceptual studies that focus on Arabic linguistics, language acquisition, and instructional innovations.
